Question: How does the barcode feature work for product, can you automatically place a Porder using the barcode?

First,you have to enter bar codes for each your item. You can open the Item edit form and fill out the field Bar code. Then,print bar code labels using the button Print at the Item edit form. You need a bar code scanner for working with bar code labels. You can use any bar code reader that is translated and entered directly into the keyboard buffer as regular text. Create a new purchase order and set focus on the column Item in the detail section. Scan a bar code label the inventory system will look up the appropriate item and fill out the row in your purchase order.
